# Energy

Energy is a general term for a resource that is used to perform certain actions.

On NA there are 3 main sources of energy: Chakra, Stamina and Double jump.

These energies are additionally explained by [the player tutorial](https://narutoadventures.gitbook.io/wiki/basics/getting-started/the-player-tutorial).

<summary>♨️ Chakra</summary>

Chakra is the resource required to cast [jutsus](https://narutoadventures.gitbook.io/wiki/basics/jutsu). A player's chakra is found to the right of their health bar at the bottom of the screen , or alternatively by using [/menu](https://narutoadventures.gitbook.io/wiki/useful-commands):

<div><figure><img src="https://2630416309-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FLmzlrS4E4FPLgx7qCeZF%2Fuploads%2FRLTb63JCXSVGlBHWdUAb%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=07e9ce6d-7cef-4bd4-a6b2-7d70a6bd1d0d" alt="" width="227"><figcaption><p>Chakra tab in /menu</p></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="https://2630416309-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FLmzlrS4E4FPLgx7qCeZF%2Fuploads%2FzozfpN0px6XdiaOphbim%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=71e62740-6e30-48c0-aaff-3540ad170d2b" alt=""><figcaption><p>the chakra bar above a player's hotbar</p></figcaption></figure></div>

Further [player ranks](https://narutoadventures.gitbook.io/wiki/player-ranks) get larger maximum chakra reserves and regeneration rates (per 2 seconds). They are as such:

* Genin - 200, chakra regeneration 1.
* Chuunin - 300, chakra regeneration 1.
* Jounin - 400, chakra regeneration 2.
* ANBU - 500, chakra regeneration 2.
* Character - 600, chakra regeneration 2.

When missing the chakra required to cast a certain jutsu, the caster sees the following message in chat:

<figure><img src="https://2630416309-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FLmzlrS4E4FPLgx7qCeZF%2Fuploads%2Fp1N2a7I64M8lWgBu9LYt%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=350571fd-c6d1-4ce7-a155-29c3e51adcd5" alt=""><figcaption><p>Pop-up message while trying to use a jutsu without the required chakra</p></figcaption></figure>

and is unable to cast the jutsu until they regenerate the required amount of chakra for the jutsu.

#### Chakra renegation

To regenerate chakra a player must **hold shift.** While holding shift, particle effects will emit the player's body indicating that chakra is being regenerated.

Changing the colour of these particles is possible through [donating to the server](https://narutoadventures.gitbook.io/wiki/donator-perks).

Additionally, certain jutsus are able to boost chakra regeneration, or steal chakra from other players.

It is indicated while an weapon is being held by a player in the form of a green circle above the player's hotbar <img src="https://2630416309-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FLmzlrS4E4FPLgx7qCeZF%2Fuploads%2Fj5FNJKkkfPOfZQGRIW3Q%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=6236320b-f5d1-42fe-9b0e-2b0329959e2c" alt="" data-size="original">.

Using [weapon skills](https://narutoadventures.gitbook.io/wiki/gameplay/weapons#weapon-skills) will drain the stamina from the gauge.
